Dear Diane:
I really want to write this letter while the whole "Dr. Gerber" experience is fresh in my mind. Somehow, I want to convey to you the depths of my appreciation for this totally positive experience.
Granted, surgery is anxiety producing. But from my first appointment concerning this surgery until your nurse, Diane, said I could stop coming for a few months, you all have made this experience seem like a cakewalk. At all times, I felt educated; cared for; nurtured; and confident about the quality of the professionals in whose hands I had placed myself. You have achieved something very special with the medical environment you have created and the team you have put together.
I now have "before" and "after" tapes of my TV appearances. All the things that made me unhappy about the "before" have been addressed, and minimized, in the "after." I am really thrilled!
Please thank Diane Kempton for me. I still cannot believe she took out all those stitches without a moment of discomfort for me. And again thank you. You are the BEST!
To Dr. Gerber and Staff
Each of us develops different needs and expectations when selecting and/or visiting a plastic surgeon. Additionally, anxieties can be heightened if we've never been seen by the physician or don't have a strong trust in the referral source. Those issues fade to the background at the first interaction with Dr. Gerber and her highly competent staff. From the first telephone contact through recovery from surgery, the atmosphere is friendly, warm, caring and genuinely concerned. Coupled with sound clinical expertise. Dr. Gerber's decisions and recommendations always suggest meticulous subtlety and she is extremely honest about expectations and results.
I have referred numerous colleagues, friends and family to her and everyone has been very, very pleased with their experience-as I have.
To Anyone who is Contemplating Cosmetic Surgery:
I cannot stress enough the importance of finding a competent and skilled cosmetic surgeon.
I have had the unfortunate experience of having inadequate eyelid surgery performed by a local surgeon near where I lived. I had read that eyelid surgery was one of the simplest surgeries and I never thought I would have complications. How wrong I was! After my surgery was performed, I could see immediately that my eyes were very uneven. One eye appeared larger than the other did and both were excessively pulled down (one eye so much that it actually required a skin graft to replace skin where too much had been removed.) I was also left with very visible scars.
When I went back to the surgeon, and he said that I would look bad for two months after he did the skin graft, I began to look for another surgeon. This time I did my research before I interviewed. I saw three doctors (one of which said he would not even attempt to correct my eyes and told me that I needed the work of a specialist.) During my consultation with Dr. Gerber, I knew immediately that I would choose her to help me. She took her time with me and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I liked her confidence as she explained how she would repair my eyes. I was also impressed with how caring and friendly the surgical and office staff made me feel.
After Dr. Gerber performed the corrective surgery, I noticed two big differences: first, I had a very minimal amount of bruising, even though I had a more serious surgery than the initial procedure where I experienced much bruising; second, Dr. Gerber left no detectable scars. I literally do not see any incision marks. In my opinion, this is what a good cosmetic surgeon is all about.
By the way, the skin graft that the original doctor told me would take two months to heal? With my surgery with Dr. Gerber, I was able to go out in public, without anyone detecting I had any surgery at all, in a little more than a week's time.
If I have any regrets about my cosmetic surgery, it's only that I did not go to Dr. Gerber in the first place. I would have saved myself much time and expense.

Dear Dr. Gerber,
Today is the last day that I have to wear my pressure garment after the liposuction procedure you performed on me 3 weeks ago. I'm still a little swollen — BUT RESULTS ARE GREAT!
As I told you before I decided to have this procedure done, I saw 5 different plastic surgeons. But from my first appointment with you, it became clear to see that you were the surgeon I wanted to select.
